BIO

Vidal Loew is a New York and Israel-based singer and songwriter. Growing up in Paris, he started making music at the age of 15 writing lyrics over b-sides hip-hop instrumentals, while alternatively producing his own beats using software sequencers and an mpc2500 shortly after.

His passion for music came alive throughout his teenage years as he found a knack for fashioning his songwriting skills, combining his French poetic writing style over raw and groove-drenched beats, ranging from grimy boom-bap east coast hip hop to rather melodic g-funk beats. He eventually developed a long-lasting amore with the warm and soulful sound of RnB, as he felt by accident on a Quincy Jones album while browsing through classic Hip-Hop CD's.

His growing fondness for RnB and Quiet Storm music brought him to pursue his musical aspiration with more depth by attending a jazz school in Paris, which he later on continued abroad as a jazz keyboardist at the Collective School of Music in New York City; all the while featuring on various projects as a singer, including as a vocalist for gospel and barbershop choir, and as the notorious voice coach and mentor Craig Derry’s protégé. Upon his graduation in 2015, Vidal went on to perform a variety of pop and RnB cover songs in many renowned clubs across New York City such as Cafe Wha and the Sugar Bar, and later on brought on stage his own original pieces that he performed live while accompanying himself on the piano, with the mentorship of the pianist Shedrick Mitchell who provided him with guidance as a budding composer and arranger. His flair as a musical arranger and budding producer caught the attention of the New York music scene and got him hired to co-produce a few song projects for several local-based artists.

In 2017, Vidal began his journey in producing his own songs professionally, grasping

all his musical experiences and influences across his path, and which mixture brought him to define his own musical signature, blending various sonorities ranging from Hip Hop, Pop, and Alternative RnB. Through the following years, he got a chance to work with reputable NewYork-based musicians such as Trevor Allen, whom the latter helped him realize his debut EP album “Smile Again”, which Vidal re-released in June 2023. His music is available on all streaming platforms and on his YouTube channel.

Today, Vidal is in the process of recording a new album and completing his bachelor's degree in Music Production at Berklee College of Music.
